TRU-BILT is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of doors, dock and safety systems. Based in Dunedin, TRU-BILT has been delivering innovative solutions since 1993.
As a result of strong growth and changes to the Sales Team roles within the business, Tru-bilt has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator with significant QS experience to head up the Quoting and Tendering for Tru-Bilt Industries. There is a significant pipeline of projects lined up for 2017 so finding the right person for this role is vital. The company is happy to look at flexible hours should that be necessary.
The main area of responsibility is the estimating of all incoming opportunities and new tenders in conjunction with the Sales Team and Sales Manager across New Zealand and Australia from the Dunedin Office.
Duties will include:
Reading building plans;
Liaise with Installation Manager to evaluate which sub trade are required for each new project and communicate all relevant information to all trades as required so they can complete tenders;
Liaise with client PM or designer for all details required to complete tenders;
Explore alternative trade and / or details to provide a full tender with options to customer;
Measure and estimate all labour and material for all new projects;
Negotiate final contract sum;
Provide a complete hand over package to contracts / project managers once contract has been secured;
The successful candidate will have:Three or more years in a similar role;
Good qualifications or significant experience for the role;
The ability to adhere to deadlines & an eye for detail;
Knowledge of building industry standards & processes;
Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills;
Clear written and verbal communication skills;
Desire to grow the function and staff it accordingly;
Work well with others throughout the construction industry.
